Retail shop signage usually involves a combination of several components such as lightboxes, wall and window graphics, internal and external environmental graphics or banners. The most popular type of retail signage are lightboxes for external signage and digital prints for internal signage.

Digital prints  are a form of large format environmental graphics that can be applied to any flat surface. They are commonly used on walls to display promotional content or decorative illustrations and geometrical shapes. Custom-made digital prints help creating a distinctive atmosphere that influence customer’s mood and behavior in commercial spaces.

Flex-face lightboxes
Flex-face lightboxes are also great tools to create a distinctive shop atmosphere. They feature a backlit vinyl banner that is stretched and tightened to the aluminum frame of the lightbox. The light spreads evenly throughout the surface. Flex-face lightboxes can display high definition graphics with vibrant colors that look appealing to the eye.

Lightboxes
The impact of illuminated signage in commercial areas has been proven by marketing research all over the word. Lightboxes placed under an awning draw attention to the shop and influence customers’ perception of the brand. Smart looking lightboxes most definitively have an impact on sales performance in retail environments. Like most types of retail signs, lightboxes are available in a large variety of shapes, sizes, colors and materials. Most lightboxes feature an aluminum frame with an opal acrylic face and are internally  illuminated thanks to the use of LEDs.

 

Fabricated letters
Fabricated letters are also very common when it comes to exterior signage for retail shops. They can be made out of acrylic or aluminum. Each letter is individually laser cut and then heated and moulded into the shape of a 3D letter. Once the letter has its final shape, it can be spray-painted or a digital print can be applied to its face. Fabricated letters can be illuminated using different techniques and angles to create the desired effect.
