International Grammar School

Blueprint Concepts were engaged on a signage project for International Grammar School by one of Sydney’s most prestigious architecture firms. The project involved ultra clear self-adhesive vinyl and one way vision in reverse. Both products were printed in reverse and adhered to the inside of the windows so viewing the images from the outside, they appear normal.

The client wanted the vinyl and one way vision on the inside so they were less susceptible to vandalism. One way vision is the product used on the public buses that allows users to see out from the inside, but when people are looking in, it still shows the image. The main advantage of this is light. The school had a requirement to keep the inside of the uniform shop and offices bright so the two products chosen were perfect for the application.

The ultra clear vinyl once applied to glass cannot be seen, so only the areas where it has been digitally printed onto can be viewed. In this project the client wanted the text printed horizontally across the ultra clear. This ensured that whilst the staff working inside could still see out and no light was blocked out, there was still some visually impressive graphics on the large windows and doors.
