Blueprint Concepts was awarded by The One Centre to manufacture and install the external signage for their Head Office in Sydney. Due to The One Centre’s good reputation as an international branding agency, it was important that the company chose a sign that tied in with their image.
The construction Specifications: The lightbox was fabricated as a double sided external lightbox with 15mm radius edges using aluminum to form all the faces with no joins, creating a Seamless finish. The “O” logo is a fabricated hollow polished stainless steel structure with 30mm returns, pinned off the face of the box 10mm. The lettering protrudes 5mm from the face of the lightbox and are made from 1.6mm polished stainless steel. They are mounted slightly off the face so that the internal illumination of the box creates a halo effect around the letters.
Installation: Not only was the detail of the lightbox a task that Blueprint was willing and capable to manage, but the installation on the building façade has to be carefully orchestrated as the building is classified as an historic trust building. Blueprint Concepts were not permitted to drill into any of the brick work, only the mortar between the bricks. It was also a high wind area so extra care was required.
